Using a midi trigger button with Midas M32 and Qlab

One thing that has made my workflow a bit better with shows with audio cues and playback, has been assigning user defined buttons as trigger or "GO" buttons in Qlab.

Qlab is a fantastic tool designed for lining up audio and video cues as scripted, and then an easy interface for changing start points, including fades in and out, and is overall a very powerful and stable tool.

So if you didn't know, the M32, X32 and M32r have user defined buttons that can be assigned to many functions or parameters on your console, but not a lot of people know that they can also be used as midi triggers.

Thank you!

  1. This is cool and easy it seems, how do you go the other way? got a show coming up where it would be great to trigger next on the M32R from qlab via midi? Im going to setup snippets for the production, 60 shows so would like to do it as easy and automated as possible.
