Future Aesthetics

Had a small conference over the weekend, a presentation about the insights into the world of Aesthetics.

The venue was the Planet Room at the classic Mount Nelson Hotel, affectionately known an "The Nellie".

Renowned for its excellent "high teas", The Nellie is a Cape Town institution, set at the head of the Cape Town Company Gardens.

The event had a fairly small audio spec -

2 handheld mics and a headset mic,

a small analog Allen&Heath console,

 4 x Yamaha DZR-D 10"speakers.

Ultra built a custom set to house a 3m x 1.5m projection screen, with a Sanyo 7k projector.

Video switching was controlled by a Roland V60HD

I've come to love the phrase "bread and butter" gigs.

Jobs like this allow you to earn, without any real outlay, and build the relationships with your clients and their clients.

Small gigs keep the income rolling in, allow you to put into practice small things without any massive risk.

Small gigs are also a great training ground for up and coming technicians that want to learn.
